How battery fit is confirmed
Battery fit involves more than matching physical size. The vehicle's year, make, model, engine, trim, terminal layout, hold-down style, and required starting capacity can all matter. Some vehicles also specify AGM or other battery technology.
Start-stop systems, battery-management electronics, and batteries installed under seats or beneath trunk floors can require specific procedures. Share the vehicle identification number when requested. Vehicles with manufacturer-specific registration or programming needs may require additional steps or specialist service.
A securely fitted hold-down matters because vibration can damage a battery internally. The replacement should match the specified type and orientation rather than simply fitting inside the tray.
Before the technician arrives

- Provide garage level, gate, clearance, or access details
- Turn off lights and accessories when possible
- Keep keys available for testing
- Do not handle a leaking, swollen, cracked, or hot battery
